Oh, where did the time go?
I can't believe my daughter is now 6 years old!
So here's an open letter for your birthday.
6 years of motherhood.
6 years of being a happy family of two.
6 years of exclusively breastfeeding.
6 years of unlimited hugs and kisses.
6 beautiful years with you.
Dear Zoe,
You've been counting down the days until your birthday. And today is that day! It's your 2nd pandemic birthday but I hope you will still enjoy this special day of yours.
My love, you've grown so much for the past 12 months. It's so hard to contemplate that you're turning into a little lady and I'm missing your toddlerhood already. But no matter how old are you, know that you will always be my baby.
It's just sad to see you grow literally inside the house for 2 years now because of the pandemic. I know you miss the outside world so much. But please hang in there. Everything will soon be over. For now, let's just continue to create more memories together at home.
You're a fast learner, you're always curious and eager to learn something new, you like to build things, you write and draw a lot, this year you've become a bookworm since you read so well already both in English and Tagalog, you still love Science especially human anatomy and you found joy in using an abacus for Math.
You've just finished Kinder2 with flying colors and we're just waiting for your graduation. I am so proud of you. It's our first year of official homeschooling and I can say that our homeschooling journey was smooth like butter. You'll soon be in Grade 1 and I'm so excited for you. Wait, what? My daughter is in elementary already? That was fast!
This year, you've been so active. You always remind me to work out and I hope to have energy like yours. You've been hula hooping almost every day, you started loving jump roping as well and it's your 2nd month of attending Taekwondo class.
Five was also the year you started fangirling BTS with me. Didn't think I'd be fangirling with my daughter but hey it's so fun! I can't wait for the day that we can watch the BTS concert together but for now, let's keep on streaming and supporting our boys online.
It's been my tradition to put up decorations on your birthday and to bake your cake together. This year you requested a mermaid-themed party. And your wish is my command. Even if I had to manually pump more than a hundred balloons. haha while also baking and decorating your cakes.
Thank you for coming into mommy's life. It's the best 6 years of my life so far! I'm so excited to see you grow. Know that you can be anything that you want to be. Keep doing what you love, dream big, enjoy your childhood and keep on becoming beautiful inside and out. Mommy is always here to support you and I'll always be your number 1 fan. I love you so much! You're my everything. Happy 6th birthday my love!
Love,
Mom.
